8 Steps to Righteousness by Faith, #6: Restoration

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God

Being pure in heart means being made clean . . . without spot or blemish . . . through the Spirit and the Word.

As Christians, we must put God first in every thought, word, and action . . . (particularly those of us who consider ourselves mature Christians . . .) because sin and disillusionment will try and sometimes will be successful in breaking our hearts . . . but, by:

  • Staying in God's word,
  • Acknowledging our sins,
  • Repenting when we sin, and
  • Asking for His forgiveness,

Jesus will guide us to the potter’s house . . . where we can be rescued and where the process of restoration to a pure heart can be achieved.

Accordingly, before we can “see God,” as the sixth beatitude promises, we must go through a refining and restoration experience in the potter’s house. God required that from His own Son, as our example . . . so He requires no less from us.

Episode 6 breaks down the meaning of being pure in heart.
