8 Steps to Righteousness by Faith: Introduction

Now and then, people tell me, “Oh, I am not so sure I’m gonna end up in heaven. It’s so hard being a Christian.”

When I hear that, I think maybe they’ve been taught the wrong doctrine. If you say being a Christian is hard, you’ve got the wrong perspective. Maybe not the wrong facts, but the wrong perspective!

Jesus said, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Not being set free is what makes being a Christian hard! I’ll say that again: not being set free is what makes being a Christian hard!

Let me unpack that perspective into four points: no matter what you’re going through,

  1. if you don’t feel free, it’s because you don’t have the right perspective!
  2. Having the right perspective comes from knowing the truth!
  3. The truth will set you free.
  4. Prophecy tells us the truth—past, present, and future.
    1. Daniel gives light to the past,
    2. Revelation gives light to the future, and
    3. the Beatitudes give light to the present.

Oh, I believe that . . . how about you?

In eight sessions, I’m going to reveal eight steps that will illuminate prophecy for us today! We’re calling it Righteousness by Faith . . . Back to the Future!

The truth is quite simple: “We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.” And that simple truth—“We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ”—is what Righteousness by Faith is all about! It’s not even hard to understand . . . in fact, Jesus spoke about prophecy for today in his very first sermon! Yes, the Sermon on the Mount, when he spoke about the Beatitudes! I’m here to break it all down into simple concepts for righteous living. Listen, Back to the Future on can re-route your life and get you in the passing lane on the highway to heaven!

Plus, here’s a sign-on bonus! During the Back to the Future seminars, you’ll fully understand God’s amazing teaching technique of “reveal and expand.” As we study prophecies revealed in Daniel, we will see how they are repeated and expanded in Revelation. So, at the end of the eight weeks, You’ll fully grasp the eight prophetic truths for living the grace, today! Yes, eight steps to righteousness by faith . . . by going Back to the Future!

Let me give you a little appetizer right now. When the Bible says “we are saved by grace,” it means salvation is not based on what we do. No, salvation is based on what Jesus Christ has already done on our behalf.

Most religions in this world can be summarized by one word: “do”—uh, do this, do that. Hey, don’t do this, and don’t do that.

But, real talk, Christianity is summarized by the word “done!” Are you following me now? That’s the gospel! That’s the Christian good news for today that prophecy proves in Daniel and Revelation!

But here’s the best part about the Back to the Future seminars: you don’t have to wait until you die to enjoy righteousness by faith. Living the grace allows you to enjoy righteousness by faith, prophecy for today, right now!

So what do you say? Let’s dive in!
